One of the site’s driving forces is Ankama, a leader in digital creation and video games. The company is responsible for Dofus, a globally successful online game (85 million accounts created worldwide), as well as a whole series of other games for PC, consoles and mobiles.
Complementing Ankama, Lylo Media Group, a giant in dubbing, subtitling and audio-description, has also set up its studios at Plaine Images.
The metropolitan nugget, acquired by American Transperfect in 2019, works for TV, film and video games, transferring cartoons and series from one language to another.
Another Plaine Images-based nugget is the guided meditation app Petit Bambou, which boasts over 4.7 million users.
Since the start of the 2020 academic year, Plaine Images has been home to ArtFX, a school dedicated to special effects, animation and video games, as well as another course focusing on new cinema professions (cinematographer and set designer).
More than a thousand students are gradually arriving on the new campus.
By 2023, Plaine Images will also be home to the new Pôle IIID design school.
