Skello focuses on Lille to strengthen its presence on the ground... and in Europe

Skello , a specialist in HR solutions for teams working in the field, is continuing its meteoric growth trajectory with the recent opening of an office in Lille in July 2025. This marks a new stage for the French scale-up, which already has a presence in Paris and Barcelona. It strengthens its local roots in the Hauts-de-France region… and paves the way for further expansion in northern Europe.

A solution designed for operational teams

Founded in 2016 by Quitterie Mathelin-Moreaux and Emmanuelle Fauchier-Magnan, Skello has come up with a solution that is transforming the day-to-day lives of professionals in the hotel, restaurant, retail, leisure, healthcare and industrial sectors. Its mobile, intuitive SaaS platform has been designed to meet the realities of local commerce – often ignored by conventional HR tools.

Our solution is aimed at teams working in the field. What has really changed with Skello is that everyone has access via their smartphone to a simple tool for managing their own schedules and those of their teams. Easy and intuitive, but without ever leaving them on their own – because behind the tool, there’s a whole team to train and support them.

Eliott Guerin, VP Marketing, Skello

The Skello platform centralises all operational HR management: schedules, working hours, regulatory compliance, export to payroll, etc. and now includes an artificial intelligence module that anticipates needs based on the weather or activity history, for example. And the results speak for themselves: according to an internal survey of 250 customers carried out in October 2025, using Skello saves each customer an average of 40 hours per month per site. That’s a significant saving! With 400 employees, 20,000 customers and over 600,000 users, Skello is now a key player in HR for operational staff at the point of sale. As part of this growth dynamic, the opening of an office in Lille seemed a natural next step – strategic, ambitious… and resolutely international.

Skello in Lille: an obvious strategic move

Already serving 2,000 customers in the Hauts-de-France region, including references such as La Chicorée, Les Merveilleux de Fred and the Couvent des Minimes, it had become essential for Skello to establish a local presence. In addition to its proximity to customers, Lille and its metropolitan area offer decisive advantages: a breeding ground for schools and talent, a solid local culture, and a central position from which to expand into Belgium and Luxembourg – not to mention easy connections with Paris to encourage internal synergies. The Lille offices were opened before the summer of 2025. The company already has 25 employees there, and growth is only just beginning, with the ambition of building a team of 100 people by the end of 2026, by recruiting a wide range of profiles – sales people, trainers, customer support managers, and soon developers for the Belgian market. A team capable of covering the entire customer cycle, from sales development to operational support.

Above all, we’re looking for personalities. Non-linear career paths have their place at Skello. What counts is desire, curiosity and a commitment to our values.

Marc-Antoine Waymel, Head of Skello's Lille Office

The company’s values – passion, entrepreneurial spirit, humility, empathy and the will to win – are not an abstract mantra. They structure the teams and guide recruitment. Marc-Antoine’s rise from trainee to manager of the Lille office in three years is living proof of this. In Lille metropole, Skello wants to grow with its teams, and offer everyone the opportunity to develop in a caring, stimulating… and demanding environment – in the service of a strong shared ambition.

A well-supported move to Lille

Skello has been able to count on solid support from the Hello Lille Attractiveness Agency, in conjunction with the Lille European Metropolis, to help it set up successfully in Lille. From the earliest stages of the project, the local teams have played a key role in facilitating the installation, networking and growth of the office. ###In particular, Lille has mobilised its ecosystem to connect Skello to the right HR partners in the region (APEC, France Travail, Proch’Emploi) in order to anticipate the next waves of recruitment. This practical support illustrates the city’s ability to welcome, structure and support the growth of scale-ups in a way that is both effective and deeply rooted in the region.

A European ambition… from Lille

Already established in Paris and Barcelona, Skello aims to become the European leader in HR solutions for field teams. The Lille office, located in the centre of the city on Rue Nationale, will therefore be more than just a sales outlet: it will become an operational base for addressing the Belgian and Luxembourg markets – with local teams, tailored products and high standards.

Lille is a strategic base: here you’ll find talent, desire and a responsive ecosystem. It’s here that we’re preparing for the future.

Eliott Guerin, VP Marketing at Skello.

With annual growth of 45%, a target of €100m in recurring revenue, and a corporate culture focused on performance and caring, Skello is not content to simply grow: the company is building a sustainable model, where each regional location becomes a pillar of its future leadership. And Lille has more than a few trump cards up its sleeve when it comes to supporting such an exciting project.
