As part of the Visitor and Convention Bureau Department, the Visitor and Press Unit works to raise the profile of the Lille metropolitan area as a whole, both in France and internationally.
The unit works to boost the region’s profile in all its dimensions: tourism, economic, cultural, institutional and local, in close liaison with the objectives of the Lille European Metropolis.
As a key contact for tourism professionals, institutional players and the press – whether tourist, economic, local or international – the centre helps to promote a coherent, attractive and accurate image of the Lille area.
The Press and Publicity Unit is :
>Promoting the region
- By highlighting the assets, expertise, dynamism and locations that make the Lille area so rich and attractive.
>Supporting the media
- In their projects to discover, programme or edit the region, depending on the issues at stake and their audiences.
>Informing and documenting
- On the tourism, business and events on offer, what's new in the area and its highlights.
>Advice and guidance
- In developing projects, content or programmes (feasibility, editorial angles, identification of partners and service providers).
>Connecting people
- With local players and partners who are members of the Hello Lille Attractiveness Agency.
>Organising press events
- This is achieved by organising press tours, individual or group press conferences and dedicated discovery sessions.
>Providing outreach tools
- Database of royalty-free images and content, editorial resources and editorial support to illustrate communication media and press publications.
