Tooly sets up in Lille to conquer the French-speaking market

Originally from Canada, Tooly has just opened an office in France with a clear ambition: to become the French-speaking leader in Zoho integration, a complete suite of digital tools for businesses. To lay the foundation stone, Tooly chose Lille – a dynamic, connected and innovation-oriented city. It’s another high-potential location supported by Hello Lille, which is backing this new phase of development… and recruitment.

Helping companies make the right digital choices

Tooly was set up seven years ago in response to a simple observation: many companies struggle to make the right choices when it comes to digital tools. Its name, a combination of “Tool” and “Y” (choice), embodies this mission of strategic support. Initially a multi-tool company, a year and a half ago it refocused on theintegration of a single suite: Zoho, a comprehensive platform covering CRM, marketing, HR management, project management, finance, website, etc.

But be careful. Here, we’re not selling a tool, we’re adapting a solution to the customer’s business. Our job is to understand their needs and processes, and configure Zoho accordingly.

Franck Selve, Sales Director France

Today, Tooly deploys Zoho exclusively, with a turnkey approach: business consulting, customisation, implementation, monitoring, etc. A method supported by business analysts and integrators who speak the language of companies, and share a certain vision of work: absolute respect for time, considered as a precious resource, to be invested with discernment and efficiency.

France, then Lille… the obvious strategic choices

Theopening of a French subsidiary in January 2025 is anything but a coincidence. For Tooly, the French-speaking market is a priority – and France its most natural gateway. What about Lille? Here again, the choice is both rational and obvious. Franck, a native of Lille, points to three key reasons for setting up here:

  • Proximity to Zoho, an Indian company with an international dimension, which also chose Lille as its French base. Being close to our exclusive partner is essential if we are to grow together in the French-speaking market “.
  • The geographical location of Lille. At the crossroads of the Benelux countries and just an hour from Paris, Lille is an ideal location for expanding into French-speaking European markets.
  • The region’s wealth of tech training opportunities. With its many engineering, development and digital specialist schools, the Lille area offers a pool of highly qualified young talent… an essential element in Tooly’s growth ambitions.
Growth driven by talent… and values

Six months after its launch, Tooly France already has 7 employees. And that’s just for starters! On the strength of a full order book until the autumn, the company is planning to recruit 5 to 7 new staff over the next few months, and is determined to build a much larger team over the next three years – up to 40 people if growth allows. Project managers, integrators, business analysts, marketing profiles… the needs are varied, but the number one criterion remains people skills and respect for our values.

At Tooly, CVs are not a condition of entry. What interests us first is the person: their desire, their values, their way of working. We’re looking for positive, supportive people who are capable of challenging themselves,” says Franck, who is convinced of the talent pool available in the region.

Autonomy, benevolence, efficiency, transparency: the Tooly culture is based on values that are lived out on a daily basis, even remotely in a 100% teleworking environment. Giving feedback, sharing successes and mistakes, helping the team to progress and, above all, remaining curious and pleasant to work with.

With us, no-one is left by the wayside. We move forward together, towards success. A human and demanding approach, designed to last.

###Lille: a business location accelerator

Since the summer of 2025, Tooly has benefited from personalised support from Hello Lille, the city’s attraction agency. Although Tooly had already begun to establish itself locally, it was when it moved into the offices of Flex’O in Villeneuve-d’Ascq – a partner in the Hello Lille network – that this decisive link was forged. And as soon as this connection was established, things moved into high gear: targeted contacts with the right business networks, structuring of the HR process, copilot meetings organised with APEC and Proch’Emploi… Concrete, operational support that enabled Tooly to take a step forward in its local structuring.

In Hello Lille, Tooly has found an effective intermediary who listens and understands what we’re up against. It’s not just institutional help: it’s a real facilitator. You get the feeling that everything is in place to save me time.

Franck Selve, Sales Director France

The next highlight is an APEC CONNECT recruitment day scheduled for the autumn. The aim is to conduct a series of interviews to identify the profiles most in tune with the project. It’s going to be an intense day for Franck Selve and his teams, with the first discussion focusing above all on values, attitude and the desire to contribute. ” The CV is not everything “, he insists. ” What counts is how the person fits into a team dynamic.

A clear project: to build a benchmark for the French-speaking world

Tooly is aiming high, with a clear vision: to become the leading Zoho integrator for the French-speaking market. But beyond the tool, it’s the way we support you that makes the difference.

“We’re convinced that tomorrow’s integrators won’t be simple executors. They will need to provide support, advice and a sense of perspective. And that’s precisely where Tooly sets itself apart.

A demanding model, both human and structured, which finds in Lille an ideal ecosystem in which to flourish and accelerate a trajectory that is already well underway.
