A family business with an industrial vision
Born of a family industrial tradition, Isla Gourmet places innovation, quality and responsibility at the heart of its strategy. Its founder wants to build a virtuous model for the benefit of his employees, partners and consumers. The products, destined for various distribution channels, will enable the company to stay as close as possible to the market and consumer expectations.
Comines, a strategic choice
The Comines plant, due to open in the first quarter of 2026, has a dual purpose: to keep pace with market growth and to offer an alternative to relocation. It will produce not only for Isla Gourmet, but also for partners wishing to repatriate some of their production to France.
The aim is to guarantee quality, short distribution channels and promote French know-how.
Themove to Comines is the culmination of several years’ thinking. After more than 16 years’ experience in the food industry, refining cane sugar and vegetable oils, producing fruit drinks, processing fruit and producing sauces and charcuterie, I wanted to put this expertise to work on an innovative and sustainable project.
Our ambition is clear: to develop modern ranges, without abandoning our values and our demand for quality.
The site’s location is another major advantage. Located close to strategic trunk roads and the ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, the plant will benefit from optimised logistics for both supply and distribution, with a natural openness to international trade.
