Lille, a city at the heart of Europe
Lille, gateway to the French and European market? There’s no doubt about it. Increasingly preferred to Paris, the capital of Flanders has everything it takes to stand up to the comparison. And the Talent Garden teams won’t deny it.
TAG is a veritable campus bringing together professionals, start-ups, agencies, freelancers, investors and students from the digital innovation sector. In short, “if Paris has its Station F, Lille now has its Talent Garden”. Located in the heart of France’s 3rd largest business district, on the second floor of the Westfield Euralille shopping centre, theTalent Garden coworking space is at the heart of a strategic hub. Surrounded by shops and restaurants, it is at the crossroads of the railway lines linking Paris, London and above all Brussels. This proximity to the Belgian capital is further enhanced by the fact that the premises are on the same level as the platform walkway serving the Brussels trains… An ideal location for tech companies used to travelling on business.
Open to Europe, the Talent Garden campus is also keen to involve local partners. For example, to give its members the best possible support, TAG has set up a partnership with its neighbour Gym Club to complement its launch offer, enabling it to offer membership of the gym with the TAG subscription.
For the record, Lille was an obvious choice not only because of its economic and geographical appeal, but also because of its dynamism. Davide Dattoli, the Italian founder of Talent Garden, found in Lille a little bit of his home town, Brescia: a town on a human scale with an industrial past and a dynamic economy. Located to the east of Milan, the city was chosen over the Lombardy capital as the location for the first campus in 2011.
Talent GardenMore than just a coworking space, a real community
TAG’s conviction? Innovation happens when you bring together diverse people who are motivated by change. The campuses are designed to be cocoons for digital talent: friendly, flexible places. And more than just a coworking space, TAG defines itself above all as a community of enthusiasts, driven to grow both economically and professionally. In practical terms, TAG organises meet-ups, webinars, conferences and innovation programmes… which will start in Lille as soon as the health situation allows. The key to success lies in the combination of a coworking space, an innovation school and programmes for businesses in the same niche sector.
Technology and innovation are the economy of the future. Our aim is to bring together players with cross-disciplinary and complementary activities in the same place; to make life easier for these players by responding to their immediate needs, either ourselves or by putting them in touch with the right partners or service providers. Because the key to success for a start-up is above all speed!
By putting agility at the heart of their business and offering tailor-made services, Talent Garden is responding to the need for economic flexibility, which has been heightened by the crisis in the covid-19.
A community manager and a hospitality manager are carrying out this mission in Lille, and a third recruitment is planned between now and the end of the year. By betting on local, multilingual (French, English, Flemish), dynamic and versatile profiles, the Italian company has put all the chances on its side to offer its winning formula to French explorers and innovators.
