MIPIM is a catalyst for attracting new business and a significant instrument of influence. The Lille European Metropolis (MEL), in collaboration with the Lille Attractiveness Agency (Hello Lille), has taken advantage of this event to :
- Affirm its positioning:
- The “Choose France” session, organised by Hello Lille, Provence Promotion, Choose Paris Region, Invest in Côte d’Azur and Business France, highlighted France as the European leader in foreign direct investment (1,688 decisions in 2024).
- This was an opportunity to appeal to international investors and highlight the potential of the diversified and innovative French property market.
- Highlighting its strengths:
- Lille presented its development projects, investment opportunities and economic strengths.
- It highlighted the diversity of its regions and the success stories of foreign companies that illustrate its appeal.
- Promoting concrete projects:
- Niko Dhondt from PACKYARD was on hand to highlight a major property investment: the conversion of an existing building into an industrial site.
- This project illustrates the city’s support for foreign investors and the synergies with its centres of excellence (EuraTechnologie, Euralimentaire, Eurasanté, EuraMaterials, EuraCreative by Plaine Images).
- Belgium, the 2nd largest investor in the Lille European Metropolis.
