With just 100 days to go, nearly 1,000 ambassadors from the region were on hand for an evening dedicated to the Games.
Acting as true information relays, they were able to take part in the games, including an introduction to the new Paris 2024 Games discipline, breakdance.

Soiree Des Ambassadeurs BreakdanceEven before setting foot on Lille soil, fans were able to immerse themselves in the Olympic atmosphere thanks to enhanced digital communications. TheLilleTourism website featured a dedicated page with enriched, personalised content. Visitors were able to find all the information they needed to prepare their stay, including directions to the stadium, things to do between matches, good deals and special offers. The campaign was a resounding success, with a 133% increase in traffic to the site compared with the same period last year.

As Denmark is a country where handball is very popular, a visual was created to humorously challenge our Scandinavian neighbours with a play on words and remind them that Lille is a nearby destination that has all the attractions of a big city (Lille means “small” in Danish).
Finally, to ensure optimum media coverage of the event, Hello Lille accompanied more than 40 journalists from the international media. These journalists, from countries such as Korea, the United States, Denmark and Sweden, made a major contribution to raising the profile of Lille as a European metropolis on a global scale.
