A first French edition at Lille Grand Palais

Following the resounding success of previous editions in the UK and Sweden, the Battery Tech Expo has now come to France for the first time. The event was held on 30 January 2025 at Lille Grand Palais, offering an exceptional day dedicated to the latest advances in battery technologies.

An event co-organised by key players in the region

This major event was co-organised by Nord France Invest and ARIA Hauts-de-France, key players in the economic and industrial development of the Hauts-de-France region.
Theattraction agency Hello Lille co-supervised the coordination of the regional delegation at the show.

A rich and varied programme

More than 100 exhibitors and 1,000 trade visitors took part in this exceptional day. The programme included

  • Conferences and round tables: Internationally renowned experts shared their knowledge and views on the challenges and opportunities facing the battery industry.
  • Workshops: Interactive sessions enabled participants to deepen their knowledge of specific topics, such as battery materials, thermal management and recycling.
  • Exhibition: The most innovative companies in the sector presented their latest battery solutions and technologies.
  • Networking: The Battery Tech Expo was an ideal opportunity to meet professionals, exchange ideas and make valuable contacts.

      Battery Tech Expo 2025 addressed the following themes:

      Lille, a strategic region for the battery industry

      Holding this event in Lille was no accident. The Hauts-de-France region is a strategic location for the battery industry, with 6 projects underway to host gigafactories. The “Battery Valley” is emerging as a key centre for investment in this sector, with 20,000 jobs expected to be created over the next 10 years.

      The Lille metropolitan area is a real asset for the development of the sector thanks to :
